I'm curious about the "stay inside" orders -- is there actually a curfew that's enforceable by law, or is this martial law, or is this just the governor and mayor telling people what to do? What happens if you go outside? Arrest? Negative peer pressure? Nothing?
A friend just posted on Facebook that it's the first nice, 70-plus degree day they've had in awhile, and nobody can go outside. What is the legal penalty for getting a little sunshine, going for a stroll, or gardening in Boston and the surrounding suburbs right now? Under what legal authority, if any, are the "stay inside" orders being enforced?
