I just couldn't hold it in any longer: My U.S. Representative, Dennis Moore (D-KS), has yet to throw his superdelegate self behind Barack, even though Obama won Kansas by a landslide. So today I wrote his office. The text follows. Was this a good idea, or am I being stupidly impetuous?
MORE on MOORE...

Dear Congressman Moore,
I'm very concerned that you have not yet endorsed Barack Obama for President and thrown him your support as a so-called "superdelegate."
As one of your constituents, it upsets me that you are not reflecting the will of those you represent during a critical time that will determine the Democratic nominee for President.
Obama won the Kansas Democratic Caucus with a whopping 74 percent share of the votes. I can assure you that at my caucus site here in Lawrence, his support was even stronger than that. Yet, months later, you have yet to announce your backing of Obama, even though he's heavily favored to be our candidate this fall for the presidency.
At this point, a divisive primary is clearly disadvantaging Democrats and strengthening John McCain in the November match up.
Given your "super" status, it is imperative that you act quickly to embody the will of your constituents. Continued delay in announcing support for Obama hurts our side in the general election. Please back Obama quickly.
Regards,
I really hope this doesn't hurt Obama, since I think I've read that we're not supposed to lobby "superdelegates." At the behest of the campaign, I've already written my statement about why I back Obama that they are supposed to send out to superdelegates themselves.
Was I so wrong? Are superdelegates unapproachable demigods whom we are not supposed to gaze upon? Did I scr*w up? Let me know!
