Ground Zero in March 2008 remains just a hole in the ground.
Meantime, mammoth skyscrapers have been built around the world, including in NYC.
Moreover, we've built a war ship from scrap steel recovered after the 9/11 attacks.
And yet we can talk seriously about a New York "leader" like Hillary Clinton as our next president?!?
I have a question for Hillary Clinton: If you are not able in seven years to lead rebuilding of the WTC site, what makes you think you could rebuild America after the Bush disaster?
What kind of leader are you at all?

I lived in NYC until recently, and I've watched as massive skyscrapers took shape in a matter of months.
There has been an obscene lack of will, of vision and -- above all -- of political guidance in rebuilding at the WTC site.
Yet, Hillary uses Ground Zero in political ads to demonstrate her leadership qualities? Are you kidding me?
Imagine the visitors from around the world who come to pay tribute to the dead of 9/11. Instead of finding themselves faced with a manifestation of American will to overcome adversity, they find themselves gawking at a large hole -- a giant monument to the same indifference and ineptitude that allowed the attacks to occur in the first place.
I call on Hillary to drop out of the presidential race to attend to her constituents in New York who need a leader there, if she is any kind of leader at all.
Hillary, don't tell me that Senators can't get things like this done. Senator Pat Moynihan, you predecessor, was instrumental in plenty of NYC building projects, notably the creation of a new Penn Station. Then again, Moynihan had vastly different political views than you.
Moynihan was on balance, a political liberal. He voted against the death penalty, the flag desecration amendment, the balanced budget amendment, the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act, the Defense of Marriage Act, the Communications Decency Act, and the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Hillary, quit the race and work at your job: Serving the people of New York. They've got a hole in the ground seven years later in the place where their wives, husbands, fathers, daughters, sons and mothers were mass murdered. It's utterly shameful.
Build them a building.
Or better yet, fill the WTC hole with dirt, plant some trees and grass, and make it a cemetery for the 4,000 dead -- I'd call it a Peace Park. Build it for the 9/11 victims killed by the ineptitude of American leadership in the time of Bush as much as they were victims of terrorism.
